Inverted Roof Insulation (HP)

An inverted roof construction places thermal insulation above the waterproof layer. This maintains the insulation at an even temperature and protects the waterproof membrane from the damaging effects of UV radiation or other damage.

The specified thermal performance of the inverted roof is achieved through the roof design and the thickness of the insulation used.

Jablite High Performance insulation for inverted roofs is:

• Suitable for installation on zero-fall roofs
• Is available in 1mm increments
• Is tested and approved to ETAG 031 (European Technical Approval Guidelines)

Jablite HP insulation for inverted roofs is supplied:

As EPS 200 defined BS EN13163
In boards sized 1200 x 1200mm
With overlapping boards to prevent uplift in installation

Jablite High Performance Flat Roof Inverted is produced to the requirements of BS EN 13163 ‘Thermal insulation products for buildings – Factory made products of expanded polystyrene (EPS) – specification’.

+Does Jablite’s manufacturing process use a lot of energy?
No. Compared with other insulation materials, the manufacturing process uses only small amounts of energy as the Jablite EPS bead is expanded by steam.
+Can I insulate between and over my flat roof joists?
Jablite EPS can be installed above the flat roof deck, fully supported, creating a warm roof construction or between and below the joists creating a cold roof construction.
