Jablite external wall insulation is an easy-to-install insulation that will perform for the lifetime of the building.
Jablite external wall insulation is compatible with all external wall systems and can be bonded or mechanically fixed to the wall.
Installing insulation on the external walls of a domestic or non-domestic property is a cost effective alternative to demolishing and rebuilding.

Jablite External insulation is supplied
• In boards sized 1200 x 600mm
• To work with Jablite BaseTherm™ board, a low moisture absorbent insulation board used as the plinth of the external wall installation
Current Building Regulations
The required ‘U’ value for new insulated buildings or for a refurbishment project is below 0.30 W/m²K.
Typically Jablite External Insulation specified to a thickness 110mm or 120mm will achieve the required u-value of 0.30 W/m²K as part of an insulated render system on a solid wall. In addition you can specify 70mm or 60mm for specific areas where 90mm is not suitable – for example in the alleys of adjoining properties.
The thermal resistance or R-value of Jablite External Insulation boards for the following standard thicknesses is:
Jablite insulation is produced to the requirements of BS En 13163 ‘Thermal insulation products for buildings – Factory made products of expanded polystyrene (EPS) – specification’.
One Jablite External Wall Insulation board covers 0.72 M2. The following table shows how many boards come in one pack (depending on thickness) and the coverage of the packs.
|Thickness mm||Boards per pack||M per pack|
External wall insulation (EWI) can be installed without having to re-locate the occupants of the property; it will:
• Reduce condensation and heat loss
• Cut heating bills
• Protect and prolong the external fabric of the property
• Reduce CO2 emissions
• Improve the attractiveness of the area
|+||Does Jablite EPS include any recycled material?|
|Yes. Jablite standard products use between 0% and 60% recycled material depending on the grade, type of product and recycled material availability. The recycled material is from off site sources e.g. clean offcuts from building sites or from the manufacturing process - 100% of Jablite's manufacturing EPS waste goes back into the manufacturing process.|
|+||Is Jablite packaging environmentally friendly?|
|Jablite is continuously striving to reduce packaging on its products. Products are wrapped in film as and when necessary to protect them during transport and storage on site. Ongoing efforts have been made to minimise the thickness of film used to reduce the packaging further. Pallets are used when requested by customers, but wherever possible recyclable EPS 'skids' are used.|
